Lead-Free Products

BARP – RADIATION PROTECTIVE PLASTER
Barp is Turkey's first and only radiation protection product manufactured as an alternative to lead, permitted by national legislation.
It is an innovative plaster material that has undergone all necessary tests and received approval (TENMAK and ITU), and is registered.
It is extremely practical to apply, costs equivalent to lead, and offers the highest level of radiation protection.
For example: At Istanbul Osmanoğlu Hospital, X-ray and CT scan rooms have been constructed in accordance with regulations using BARP technology, meeting all necessary standards and being put into use.
DEMRON – LEAD-FREE RADIATION PROTECTIVE FABRIC
Demron is a type of fabric developed in the United States by Radshield Technologies in 2003 using nanotechnology. It is a polymer-based, innovative product developed as an alternative to lead, providing protection against alpha, beta, and gamma rays in medical, military, and nuclear facilities. Its purpose is to replace lead-containing clothing, which is harmful to human health.
It was first used internationally in the 2011 Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant explosion and was accepted by the Japanese government.
Furthermore, it is the world's first and only "lead-free" fabric type approved by NASA and authorized for use in nuclear facilities. It is currently used by the U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security.

Demron, with its unique features:
- • It poses no health risks to the human body, contains no toxic substances, and is a nanotechnology-based fabric made from natural elements. It is flexible, washable, and suitable for textile production. It is washable and has a long shelf life.
- • It does not pose any risk of toxic complications or cancer from contact in cases such as tearing or abrasion.
- • There is no disposal procedure at the end of its service life.
- • In terms of product weight, it is quite lightweight. The patented "Demron Torso Vest" weighs only 3.00 kg.
- • It has protective properties against chemical and biological fallout and exhibits high fire resistance.
- • It reduces the heat generated by the body or the external environment during use, allowing for extended wear.
- • Because it is produced as a fabric, it allows for the production of all kinds of clothing.
- • The Demron Torso Vest features enhanced protection in the groin area thanks to its four-layer design. A matching thyroid protector accessory, made with two layers of fabric, is also available. These areas are among the most at-risk zones in environments where radiation equipment is used.
